Confluence is Salsa's light electric gravel bike built to bring confidence to riders who want to squeeze more adventure into each day. It's designed to enable bonus miles taking every tempting side road and lowering the stakes on longer gravel rides or overnighters. The bike features a 6061-T6 alloy frame paired with a Confluence 2.0 carbon fork, suspended and corrected for 40mm gravel suspension forks. The Mahle X30 Class 1 hub-drive system delivers 45Nm of maximum torque with pedal assist up to 20mph (32kph). Power comes from a 237Wh MAHLE iX2 internal battery housed in the downtube, with the capability to expand up to 421Wh using MAHLE's external Ex1 171Wh range extender (sold separately). Control is managed through an HMI compact remote top tube controller and a MAHLE Duo remote handlebar-mounted controller that allows riders to cycle through assist modes without taking hands off the handlebar. The bike is equipped with on-bike cargo features including rack mounts and Three-Pack mounts on the fork. It accommodates massive 700c x 50mm tire clearance (max 42mm tire clearance with fenders) and includes fender mounts. The MAHLE X30 system is certified to UL 2849:2020 standards and the battery is certified to UL 2271 standards.
