Hello!

I’m Jake Munroe, owner of Munroe Velo. As a North Shore native, I know we are lucky to live in a place with awesome riding right in our backyard. That’s why I’m excited to introduce you to Munroe Velo! Building on the foundation of the full service bike shop that served the Topsfield community for 30+ years, we are open with a new look, new vibes, and lots of new gear & bikes.

I grew up in North Andover and now live in Beverly with my wife, Catherine. Before getting into the bike industry, I served in the Navy for 7+ years before holding several different roles in the corporate world for 6+ years. But my real passion? Bikes. Bikes have been a core part of my life ever since I spent my days as a kid around the New England bike racing scene. In my lifetime of loving bikes, using them as a mode of transportation, a way to work out, and a way to escape the weight of the world, I’m excited to open our doors and share this passion with you.

  • We’re stoked to offer some awesome brands - we have a curated collection of cool, rider-tested bikes, clothes and accessories from Giant, Liv, Kona, Ibis, Salsa, Woom, Early Rider, Lead Out!, Ocean & San, Velocio, Kuat, Rene Herse, Lezyne, Lazer, and OneUp.

  • We are a full-service shop with both tune-up packages and a la carte service offerings. From quick fixes to custom bike builds, bring us your problems and ideas!

  • That’s all part of the plan! We’ll have regular gravel and mountain bike rides out of the shop for different skill levels. We’ll also look into scheduling clinics, guest speakers, 101 classes and more!

  • Believe it or not, yes this is one of our most frequently asked questions… no dog yet, but that is also part of the plan!
